Understanding your result
Courses with more credits influence the GPA more. This uses the common US 4.0 scale.
Formula and method
GPA = Σ(grade points × credits) ÷ Σ(credits), using A=4.0, A-=3.7, B+=3.3, B=3.0 and so on.
Worked example
“A 3” and “B 3” give (4.0×3 + 3.0×3) ÷ 6 = 3.5.
