Calculate density, mass or volume from the other two.
Calculated locally in your browser.
Understanding your result
Keep units consistent; 1 g/cm³ equals 1000 kg/m³.
Formula and method
Density = Mass ÷ Volume. So mass = ρ × V and volume = mass ÷ ρ.
Worked example
100 g in 50 cm³ gives a density of 2 g/cm³.
How to use this tool
- Enter any two values.
- Leave the unknown blank.
- Press Calculate.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Mixing millilitres with cubic centimetres incorrectly (they are equal for water).
