How do you generate fancy text for Instagram and TikTok?

Each letter and digit is mapped to its equivalent in a Unicode style block, such as Mathematical Bold or Fullwidth, with strikethrough and underline using combining marks. These are individual Unicode characters that resemble fonts, so most modern apps display them. For example, "Toolzio" in Bold becomes 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐳𝐢𝐨, in Script 𝒯ℴℴ𝓁𝓏𝒾ℴ and in Fullwidth Toolzio.

Understanding your result

These are individual Unicode characters that resemble styled fonts, so almost any modern app or device can display them. A few older systems or fonts may show a plain box for rarer styles.

Formula and method

Each letter and digit is mapped to its equivalent in a Unicode style block (for example Mathematical Bold or Fullwidth). Style blocks with reserved “holes” fall back to the correct standalone character, and strikethrough and underline use combining marks.

Worked example

“Toolzio” in Bold becomes 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐳𝐢𝐨, in Script 𝒯ℴℴ𝓁𝓏𝒾ℴ and in Fullwidth Toolzio.

How to use this tool

  1. Type or paste your text.
  2. Browse the generated styles.
  3. Select a line, or press Copy to grab every style, then paste.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Using a rare style in a place whose font cannot render it, which shows empty boxes.
  • Expecting screen readers to read styled text normally — they may spell it out or skip it.

Frequently asked questions

Will this work on Instagram and TikTok?

Yes. The output is plain Unicode text, so it pastes into Instagram, TikTok, X, Discord and most other apps and bios.

Is it really a different font?

No — they are separate Unicode characters that look like styled fonts, which is why they keep their look when copied anywhere.

Why do some characters show as boxes?

That happens when the app or device font does not include that particular style. Choose a more widely supported style such as Bold or Italic.
